When you hear “lacrosse” you think Hopkins, UNC, Duke, Maryland, Cornell, Syracuse etc. You think of Up North New England, New York Maryland. Well people are starting to shift their attention down south. They say lacrosse is the fastest growing sport in the Country, and Florida and Texas are just “booming” with new lacrosse teams. In Florida there are 30 districts and 88 high school teams make them up. Texas though does it differently having only 3 high school divisions and only 90 teams making them up. Florida a much smaller state with only two less teams. Many people say Florida is the new lacrosse state… I mean the MLL games were hosted at FAU in south Florida last year and this coming June. While Texas is still out there….. It’s up for debate!
